Internet – Is Online Tutoring A Good Internet Business For Me?

The internet houses an amazing array of home biz opportunities, but the difficulty has always been finding the right one to fit your time and talent. You can’t always see the wood for the trees in the options available. One of the least advertised is online tutoring. If you are a teacher in a particular subject, or someone with specialist knowledge and looking for a home business, I would like to explore ‘is online tutoring a good internet business for me’?

Traditionally, home tutoring has been a laborious and demanding profession. Without the buzz and interaction of the classroom, working one-on-one can lack the spark and stimulation of group activity. The result has been the tutor’s challenge of keeping his pupil constantly engaged, as well as moving his grades onwards and upwards.

Fortunately, technology has spawned a new classroom – the internet! No longer tied to traditional methods of teaching, home tutors can contact many students at the same time, and with a much less punishing schedule. Once your lesson is up – it can be dispatched to multiple destinations. Teaching over, you can turn your attention to other tasks and simply wait for the homework. So, is online tutoring a good internet business for you?

1) who can do it? People suited to online tutoring include anyone with expert knowledge in specific subjects or specialist skills. You should enjoy helping students learn and have regular time slots to be available to your students. This is especially important to consider if you have another job or need to learn new skills to set up your own internet business.

2) What do I need? If you want to be an online tutor, you will require a degree or college certification. Online tutoring companies ask for degree certificates, and if you are starting your own internet business, students need supporting evidence of your accomplishments. A basic understanding of the internet is needed to be able to teach via webinar and send and receive lesson material to students. You will also have to undertake a criminal background check.

3) How do I Set Up? If you want your internet business to be freelance, join an agency for part-time online teaching options. Basic training of interactive methods is given and students will either be given or you will need to find your own. Check out Universal class, Home Tutors.org or Tutor.com.

Top 10 Celebrity Styles For 2008-2009

Every year we look to celebrities for fashion inspiration and new styles. Looking back over this year we can say that 2008 did not disappoint. Although some celebrities veered a little too far left of what is fashionably acceptable many others hit the bulls-eye. Even if you didn’t commit to any of the following trends, you can’t deny that they made statements in 2008. We have broken them down in order from 1 – 10 and let you know who owned that specific celebrity style.

Fashion Trend # 1: The Two-finger ring. This is one of the coolest jewelry trends we’ve seen in awhile. It has been spotted on famous celebrities such as Rihanna and Lauren Conrad from ”The Hills”.

Fashion Trend # 2: Baggy ”Boy” Jeans. This was a hit-and-miss look. It really depended on the body type of the person sporting the look. We think the new Baggy Boy Jeans should have a distressed and loose look, but should also be cut to show off a woman’s curves. This celebrity style was rocked by Reese Witherspoon and Katie Holmes.

Fashion Trend # 3: Nail Designs. Many celebrities decided to wear crazy colors on their nails this year. Those celebrities include Beyonce, Eve and Rihanna.

Fashion Trend # 4: Sky-Scraper High Heels. Every year high-heels get higher and more dangerous looking. If you don’t believe us just take a look at Victoria Beckham and Madonna.

Fashion Trend # 5: Pointless Accessories. Anything and everything was up for grabs to be an accessory in 2008. Just take a look at Miley Cyrus, Rihanna and Beyonce.

Fashion Trend # 6: Obama T-Shirts. For the first time we can remember political T’s were available and worn by the general public. Check them out on Halle Berry, Beyonce and P Diddy Combs.

Fashion Trend # 7: Nerdy Glasses. Geek-chic is a sure thing, when worn right. But be careful because dark, thick plastic frames aren’t a look everyone can pull off. If you want to see them worn right check out the celebrity style of Kanye West, Jay-Z and Common.

Fashion Trend # 8: Bangs. This look also doesn’t work for everyone, but when it does, watch out! Check out the bangs on Jessica Alba and Christina Aguilera…HOT!

Fashion Trend # 9: Leather Jackets. This look was taken straight from the 80′s, but worked great in 2008. Some celebrities rocking leather jackets were Vanessa Hudgens and Rihanna.

Fashion Trend # 10: Hippie Headband. Very few people can actually pull this look off. Personally, I’m not of fan of it on anybody. Some ladies sporting the hippie headband this year were Nicole Richie and Mischa Barton.

As you can tell there were many new celebrity styles this year, along with some re-tread styles. Every year we are amazed at what people bring back out of the closet and add to their wardrobe. No matter how much we may fight it, the looks always seem as glamorous and hot as they did before. We can’t wait to see what celebrity styles these people pull out next year. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see!

The Importance Of Jewelries

It is interesting to note that almost all people use a form of jewelry to add appeal to his or her appearance. It would make a person wonder what the importance of having jewelries is.

Jewelry is a piece of adornment that one uses. It may be in the form of necklaces, earrings, rings or bracelet. Brooch is also a form of jewelry. Its value depends on how it is created and from what materials. Jewelries made from gold and precious gemstones like diamond, ruby and emerald has greater value than those made of silver and shells. Each person's preference on the type of jewelry depends on the material, the symbol and the artistic quality.

Humans cited as far back as 6 to 7 million years ago. This was a recent discovery made on a skull in Central Africa. Most likely, jewelries have been around as far back.

Early discoveries found that jewelries during the ancient times were in the form of teeth, bones, stones and wood bore on human parts of the bodies. They even used this to fast clothes and as hair accessories. Nowadays, jewelries are only for beautification purposes.

Most of the time, when you see someone adorned with several jewelries you would conclude that he or she is a wealthy person. This is normal because jewelry has great value and not everyone can afford it. Even in different cultures, jewelry is their status symbol.

The value being so great, jewelries are used either as a symbolic form of good intent or simply to show the family's financial status as a form of dowry on weddings. It is also used for business trading.

Pins, buckles, belts and handbags are not considered jewelry rather they are called accessories.

Nowadays, most people use jewelry to enhance one's appearance. To be able to wear one may give a sense of financial achievement and pride. Whatever the reason is, wearing jewelry adds beauty to every person.

Vacations Are Possible When You Plan For It

With the spring and summer months right around the corner and summer break right on its heels, most people's thoughts turn towards vacation! My family is no different. In fact, we've been planning all of our vacation time for the past twelve months.

Our goal is to take three trips a year. Two short ones; maybe a weekend trip to another city in our state or a bordering state. And one nice, relaxing, long trip that we have to pack our bags and head for the airport for that lasts seven to ten indulgent days!

For example, about the time our son's April birthday rolls around, we plan a weekend trip somewhere in our state. His favorite is always San Antonio because he likes to visit the theme parks and gorgeous Riverwalk that they have there. Since we live in Dallas, it's less than a four hour drive; and it's usually the precursor to kicking off our year of getting away.

This year, the longer trip will be in the summertime, a week after school is out. We are planning a vacation to Florida to visit Walt Disney World. We will be gone for ten glorious days for fun in the sun.

And then, in October, my husband and I are planning a three to four day getaway to celebrate our anniversary in beautiful Mexico. And that will give us our three getaways for the year! It's as simple as that.

Now, we have not always been able to do this. Why? Because of poor planning on our part. But, that is no longer the case. We've wised up, and if you have not been getting away for a little rest and relaxation because of the same problem, here's how you can guarantee that that will not be the case next year … or the year after that – forever !

My husband, Muri, and I have created what we call a "Battery Recharge" account, or in regular terms, a travel account. All monies that go into it ensure that we'll be able to get away with our ten-year old son, Jordan, or for a romantic weekend on our own!

Have a family discussion and decide where each of you would like to go. Narrow it down, and vote on three locations. One that's far away and two that are within a reasonable driving distance.

Once you've done that, do your research. There are a number of online resources. Thanks to technology, finding attractions in the city of your destination is no more than a click away! You can build an itinerary of what your family will do, as well as get the costs of each show or attraction you'd like to attend.

Then, one-by-one, you begin to fund your "Batter Recharge" account until you have the money to do each trip! What's so great about the two short trips, most can be done for less than five hundred dollars. The key is not extravagance. It's just getting away with your family to bond and re-energize yourself.

You work hard, everyday. Take some time to enjoy the fruits of your labor with the ones you love and cherish. Your mental, physical and relational well-being will be all the better for it!

Happy vacationing!
